New Genre - Alternative History

Last night I was wanting and researching an idea genre and came up with alternative history. With the help of our partner in crime. They're also our partner in life. We researched this them and found it will be interesting to write a story of a British history figure e.g. a Queen and change the real history and change it and make a story and then you have a dramatic storyline for a fun read for people. This is my theory anyway. I believe that in writing you have to explore you writing genres. This will improve your skills as a writer, also learning to write in other genres you'll learn what you can write, what you can't write. This is learning by default.

I do feel this will be a great experience for myself. I know writing is a great way to be creative. This is how I can expand my creative side. Learning new ways to expand your creative juices is a way to build on your writing. When you write just the same ole thing, it tends to get repetitive. This is what I have learned from my own kind of writing. I want to expand my genre. I do write for middle-grade/young-adult Christian fiction for the most part. Now I'm finding out I'm wanting to broaden my horizons. This will mean that I have to research what kind of stories I want to write. There are so many kinds of stories to be written. the only thing is what kind of stories do I have inside of me? This is the question I ask myself each and every day.

Speculative Fiction

Speculative Encompassing narrative fiction with supernatural or futuristic elements. This includes, not limited to, science fiction, fantasy, superhero fiction, science fantasy, horror, utopia, dystopia fiction & supernatural fiction.

Alternative History

A genre of fiction in which one writes on speculations on how the course of history might have been altered: e.g. Adolf Hitler hadn't become powerful and started world war II. What would the world be like today? Would we still be in our current life situations? All kinds of questions would arise for every kind of thing we could imagine. the list is endless.

REMEMBER
whatever you want to write, it's up to yours. be creative. You are the writer. You decide what you create. I know from personal experience. I write to create a life I only get in a dream. I know you have dreams, just dream big and write dreams down if you dream big.
